So I haven't blogged in a while (Sorry) but I have quite the good excuses; school, opera, church, school, opera, church. You get the idea. I am so glad to have a break, although I do love school. I finished up music theory at UAH (yay) and I'm excited that I'm all finished with music theory. Of course, no one ever gives me credit for being in college since I was 13, but oh well. I know I've worked hard, and someday Indiana will know I've worked hard. :) In case you haven't noticed, IUB is my dream college, but yeah, that's a few years away.
I can't wait for Christmas! My family is going to love all their presents. Especially Kate and Thomas. :) It's SO fun to buy presents for the ones you love!
So... new year resolutions? Maybe, we'll see. Perhaps on the next blog.

My Reflection....

Who is that girl I see staring straight back at me? Why is my reflection someone I don't know? When will my reflection show who I am inside? When will my reflection show who I am inside?
Music truly is the key to the soul. I love that I always have music to help me through everything when no one else is around.
So, I have been thinking a lot about religion, faith, predestination, etc. I seem to be searching for all these answers lately, and it is a really cool process actually. I love that I'm learning about my faith.
Indeed, I can't wait to read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It looks like a very funny book, although apparently there is a series. Bleh :p oh well.

Maybe This Time

I am sick. It is painful. I cannot talk or breathe properly. I am stuck at home. I have homework. The PE test is in 6 days and I cannot run today. I wish I had swine flu. I miss Erin. I am sick.

Wow.
I have completed 3 weeks of private school. Yikes. My head hurts thinking about it. :) But I like school despite the hard work.
Magic Flute has closed. Sad.
I started rehearsals for Sid the Serpent Who Wanted to Sing. Coming October I don't know when. lol. I miss Magic Flute so much. It's gonna take a while to get over it.
I started writing a story the other day. I wonder if that will amount to anything. hmm.
I can't wait for the year to continue. I'm just taking it one day at a time.
Only two more weeks till my birthday!!! YIKES. I will only be 15 years old for two more weeks.
September 12, 1993!!! Yay. Yes I'm having a Sweet Sixteen but I don't know when. It's ridiculous. haha. But I'm inviting a bunch of ppls. So it should be fun fun fun.

It's been a while since I have blogged. I probably won't blog as often now because I am going to Providence Classical School. :) woot. Tonight is the ice cream social. 4. I am homeschooled, and have been for 9 years. (yikes)

Tonight I couldn't go to church, but that might be for my benefit. I don't know yet. I did get some script writing done, so maybe that's something. I suppose I will see what happens.

Don't Know Why

Ok, so yesterday I was totally ready to write a blog, but the page would not load for some reason! The blog pulled up fine, but this page that I write in would not load. Oh well.
So on Monday we had our meeting for Screams of the Saints. I have watched most of the Vietnam dvd, and I really can't wait to start writing these scenes. Hopefully, God has a plan that I can't see, and He will do something amazing with this in many lives.
Yesterday we had a rehearsal for Magic Flute, and I can now say my music is memorized! :)
Tonight I'll go to Fathom and hopefully talk to people, including Peter.
Suddenly I don't know what to write. I suppose I'll write more later when I have something to say.

So I realized that I was on my 21st post last night, and it was the 21 of June. So I might as well continue every day for this month! :)
I've never had a broken heart

I wish they could see me when I see them. I don't really care for staring in. I don't know what to do, in some of these situations. I know I need help, mostly from God, but from friends too.
Why can't we just tell every person how we feel? Life is so short, we should go ahead and say it and risk everything. Right? That's how it feels.

This Is Right

If anyone saw me today at church, you possibly saw me holding a little baby. :) That's Abigail. I'm friends with her family and they let me hold her for a long while between services. While holding her, I had a perfectly normal (well, for me normal. :p) conversation with my friends, said hello to church-goers, etc. The whole time, everything felt normal and right. Thinking back, I know that at that moment "This is right. It's what I'm supposed to do." I may be a 15 year old who lacks vision, but I don't lack a maternal side. I can't wait for the day I can have a family, even tho I know I need to finish my education first. But, I loved holding Abi today. "So cute."

Why?

I just wish I knew why life is the way it is. Why is there death? Why is there loss? Why do we so often love without the love being returned? Why do the ones we love end up leaving us? Why does God test us? Why? Why? Why?
Today marks something sad in our neighborhood, but I will not go into that right now.
I really don't know what to do lately. I want to open up, but every time I love someone, they end up leaving me. Is it worth it to love? Is it? At times, it seems hopeless.
I know I need God's help, and believe me, I'm asking for it. But, when do I get a little strength of my own? And how do I not become so independent with that strength? I need God, myself, and friends. I guess that's where the "readers" of this come in. But I can't tell someone what to do. But I can ask for prayers.
Maybe tomorrow in church, things will be a little clearer to me.

Oops. So it's been a few days since I've blogged. sorry. Although it's not like anyone reads these.
So, today is Friday. woot. I think I'm home all day except I need to get something notarized but other than that I'm a free gal. Maybe TODAY I can go to the pool. :) "It's possible."

Who Needs Sleep?

So my eye is officially... still quite annoying. :) haha nothing official on it so far.
Rehearsal tonight was nice. I love my low part in the Magic Flute. :) I wish our parts were bigger though, longer, more of a part. Alas, oh well. I'm busy anyway. I just need to work my way up in opera. I am loving the whole opera experience! :)
I loved hanging out outside today, so nice and pretty. This summer has been amazing to me, with the exception of my eye and lack of sleep.
Yes, I have not been sleeping well. Last night was better, but lately I keep waking up in the middle of the night and cannot fall back asleep.
Ok, nothing else interesting to write I suppose. :) that's ok

One Vision

Yesterday was nice for me. Except for the fact that my left eye is killing me, slowly but surely. Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but all day yesterday and today my eye has been in pain. So please keep me in your prayers for that haha.

I talked to Peter (our amazing youth pastor) and I do need to work on my patience, that I know. Maybe God has a plan for me with teaching me to be patient. I think I need to read more Corinthians because a lot of people have been talking about that book or referencing that book.
I'm really glad I went to Fathom last night, especially since there won't be any this Wednesday.
I signed up to be a youth mentor, so maybe God has another plan (He must have MANY plans) for me to help someone's life. :) Some lucky (or doomed) 7th grader will get to look up to me. Is that a good thing? We'll see. I can't wait for this Summer, I'm loving it already, and this next school year, as I'm a junior, is going to be amazing. :)

Indeed Perhaps

So maybe I've started on finding the answers.
I've been led to read Corinthians, and there is a passage that most people have heard. "Love is patient, love is kind..." etc. Well, I see my problem right there: I'm not patient in the least bit, I am so stubborn and impatient. So that could be one problem, but I know there is much more than just that. But now I have something I can say I'm working towards. :)
I didn't sleep very well last night, and I'm not sure why. I just kept waking up. Who knows. I'm about to go to church (9am sunday school, 10:30 traditional). I love church, and I'm really glad we picked this as our church.

Love

Love is a four letter word
But it's not crude or cursing or anything like that.
I recently watched Fireproof, a very moving story, and was led to the question "Do I know what love really is?" Well I don't think I do. Sure I love my friends and family, but is it real love?
On tour I realized I had created barriers in my heart. Not letting myself love others, not letting people in, not crying, just becoming really stiff. I knew I shouldn't be that way, yet I kept on not letting others in.
I know I need to let people in, but it's going to take time. I need to find the happy medium: not holding back all my love, yet not giving it all away.
so please pray as I continue this journey.

Ring

So God can be funny. I mean really funny.
Dad and I were sitting at the table, just talking, and we got to a silence in our conversation. So I, just to be weird and funny, said to the phone that was lying there, "Ring." I was going to say "Ring" a few more times in a demonic voice (like I said, weird) but then it actually started ringing!! Go figure. LOL. I was laughing so hard. Very funny moment.

So I managed to stay off of the internet all of wednsday and most of yesterday, until mom needed help with facebook. :) Yep yep.
I realized I need to find something (another blog to explain) and I know only God can help me find it, but I really need to focus on Him and on being the best Christian I can be.
Ms. Linda's baby shower is tomorrow! Yay for babies. haha. She's having a boy, so we have cute little blue decorations, like little blue teddy bears, and blue candy, blue candles, etc.
Did you know?: Jason Earles from Hannah Montana.... is 32. Yes, he is not in his teens or twenties, but his 30s. Yikes!

I really miss Virginia. Well, the people from there. The actual state? Not so much. I am happy to say I love Alabama and consider myself a southern chick.
So right now I have brownies baking. Yum. In the words of Buffy, I'm not done baking. Maybe when I'm done baking, someone can enjoy cookie me, but not me as the batter. I'm not done baking yet. :) I think that's the metaphor for me not having a guy right now.

You Belong With Me

I am really glad I started listening to Taylor Swift. Her songs are so cute and I really like them :).
So today is Tuesday, woot. I have not fixed my hair yet so it looks like a monster (extreme bed head runs in our family, but my brother gets it the worst). Yep.
Tonight we have another Magic Flute rehearsal. Sundays and Tuesdays. :) I am loving it already. Everything seems to be falling into place for me these days.
Too bad no one is interested in me. But that's not important. I guess. But it is hard to go through life seeing all the successful couples around me and not think "Why couldn't that be me?" Oh well.
I really want to go shopping at Bridgestreet because the weather is perfect! :) In time I suppose.
I also want to know who wrote on my honesty box. It's been bugging me ever since. :) In a good way of course.
So If anyone wants to hang with me this summer, go shopping, dancing, party, hang out, travel, etc, let me know! :) I have no big summer plans! all I'm doing is Sunday night and tuesday night rehearsals.

Think I'm Gonna Be Sad

Music's a Magical Thing

Today marks the last time I sing with the seniors of 2009. I loved singing our show two times today, with God in my heart the whole time, but it was a bittersweet morning too.
This semester I have come to realize that I only have 2 years left of high school, and I want to make the most of these years. I can't wait for the day that I'm a senior, and a leader. But for now, I'm content to be a follower. However, I am in the process of making that transition from follower to leader. This fall, new sophomores will join CHRIST Choir, and I'll be a junior. :) Looking forward to that. But I'm gonna be sad without my graduate friends. I am lucky that most of them are going to Auburn so I can visit them and they can (hopefully) come visit home.
I really can't wait to see God's plans for me this year. He has stirred something in my heart, and I don't know what yet, but He has a wonderful plan that I get to follow. :) I am going to try to focus more this year than ever before, and be the best Christian I can be.
Also
I want to be the best Alexandra I can be. I am who God made me to be, not someone else. I am me. I'm not gonna change so others will accept me, no, I'm gonna be the person God made me, and if that makes someone mad, then it is their loss. I don't need the people of this world, I need God's love only. But of course I do have people that I love and who (I hope) love me. :) So I'm in a good place spiritually.
Ok this blog feels long now.
I'm going to do some work before I go to my first Magic Flute rehearsal.

Laughing With Myself

Today was a strange day in the fact that it was the day after tour, but I had voice exams. Exams went ok, I could've done better, but the rest of the day has been quite dandy.
I found out I got a new computer and I'm in the process of putting that up (I put it together all by myself but I'll need dad's help with getting the internet up on it) and that's great because the computer in my room is so slow. LOL.
I came back home last night with dad out of town for the day (he came back this morning) and this morning I found out my brother got a haircut (*gasp*). We also have a new video camera! Yay! Since our old one broke, it's exciting to have a new one.
I am in love with the songs from Once and printed out the sheet music for Falling Slowly. :)
for the record, I loved that movie BEFORE it won an oscar. :)
Susan Boyle didn't win BGT! gasp. I like Diversity tho, so they're good.
Tomorrow I start Magic Flute rehearsals yay! And I don't even have my music. haha yay
And tomorrow morning is the homecoming concert for CHRIST CHOIR Stand and Shout.

yes indeed I am tired. quite tired. tour was amazing. I am in need of a shower and sleep. And vocal rest. :)

Eyedrops

So I got my prescription eyedrops last night and started using the sample all yesterday. The reason? My left eye has been irritated or something, so I have to take 1 drop 4 times a day. oh joy. so that means every meal and when i go to bed. so if you see my putting a little bottle in my eye, that's why! I'm also taking AllerClear for general allergies. I know I am allergic to a tree, but spring pollen etc plugs up my system too, so I take this to help with that. :)

I am all ready for tour now, except for my camera. We got our packing list last night, to which I said "finally!"
Ms. Susan told us when we're sightseeing not to talk to people on the street, and Micah says to me "What if we want to minister to them?" So I asked Susan after choir and she said, "just don't minister to the scary people" hahahahaha. :) But of course I think scary people need our message too, but we're probably not the ones who need to give it right now. Our job is singing etc, not the dangerous stuff.. yet. :)
I am REALLY excited to go to Centreville UMC on Sunday night. :) I hope to see some friends. Of course we will have given two concerts already that morning so I'll do my best to keep my energy up. I'll probably be spazzing out. :)
I'm pretty ok with our bus arrangments. I'm with my roommates, which is most important, and Chaz is on our bus. I don't remember who else. I think Tyler and Danny. haha. That'll be fun, or dangerous?
So I actually met someone in our choir that I had not really met before. See, our choir is SO huge there are people I have no idea who they are. This one was a guy my age named Stephen. Someone my age and I didn't even know him. oh well, alas.
I wonder if we'll have internet access on tour? Hmm. If we do I'll definitely blog!
Erin turned 18 yesterday. yay. I got to talk to her grandma. She asked "are you the friend in Boston?" and i said "No i'm her alabama friend" and her grandma says "oh I know who you are!" haha so sweet. I know i've met her before (i've met both) but I don't remember which one this was haha. I'll call again today hopefully.
So this is long so I might as well make it longer ooooh
Twitter is pretty fun :) yuppers.
I really like our musical Stand and Shout! :) I hope it brings joy, peace, and understanding, and love to many people. I can't wait to work in the children's home and get to know someone and change their life. :)

I got khaki pants, but still have feelings against their race. haha I'm racist against pants, who knew? At least they fit and are comfortable, sort of.
I REALLY want my camera back. I leave day after tomorrow and I DON'T HAVE MY CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grr. :) OK ok ok.

How well do you know me?

It's amazing how much people do not know me. Or maybe they know me really well but they don't know about me. It's crazy really. On Facebook I created a quiz and I have had a few friends take it. No one has gotten 100percent yet. We'll see who in the end gets it. :) I'll probably be suprised.
I really love music, and am working hard at writing it. But right now I'm focusing my musical energy on Voice exams, then I'll get back to composition. :)

I know it's summer but I can't feel it yet

So two days ago (monday) was Memorial day. usually that marks the opening of our neighborhood pool. key word here? USUALLY. it still isn't open, and that bugs me. I don't care if it rains everyday , I want my pool open. can you tell I have a bit of a grudge? nah. haha
choir was fun last night, but i think people were scared of me because of my freaky looking eyes. my eyes were dilated and huge. :)
So i still don't know what the deal with my eyes is, they wouldn't examine them further because my left eye is irritated or something. so now i have eye drops i'll have to take for a while. great.
I still do not have my camera, and that fact is bugging me like crazy. haha hopefully I'll get it by friday so i can have it on tour! i need pictures on tour!
Now I have nothing else to say, nothing witty either. :( oh well, maybe my next blog will be more inspiring.

So I need to be in bed or at least upstairs. ain't i quite the rebel? :) I am so excited for tour, even tho i'm not in drama or solos or ensemble. I can still bless this tour, and be blessed as well. I hope to meet new people and reconnect with others, etc.
I'm liking Susan Boyle haha, She'll probably win! I love Britain's Got Talent. makes me wanna be british again.
